Community Advocacy Referral and Education

 

The Community Advocacy Referral and Education (CARE) program provides area residents with easy access to health and human services, information and referral, satellite services and emergency assistance. All programs are offered free of charge.
 

The CARE Program provides information, referral and advocacy services to area families to enhance and support family life. The CARE Program seeks to increase the stability and self-sufficiency of families by providing Information and Referral services, Extra Helpings Food Co-Op, Emergency Food Pantry, Emergency Food and Housing Assistance, health related satellite services, and counseling services, all designed to reduce barriers to needed services. All programs are offered free of charge.

The Center offers a variety of services including:

 

  • Emergency food pantry for area residents
  • Saratoga County Mental Health Counseling, and Saratoga care for facilitated enrollment of FHP, CHP and Medicaid.
  • Emergency food and rental assistance.
  • Information and referral to other area human service agencies and community resources.
  • Community Space for sports practices, dances, meetings and other community building activities.
  • Family Development Programming
  • Holiday Assistance
