Domestic Violence and Family Resource Advocate Job Description:

Full Time - 5 days a week - 37.5 hours a week position


Domestic Violence and Family Resource Advocate Job Description: The Domestic Violence Legal and Family Resource Advocate will assist clients by providing client-centered services based upon the client’s self-determined needs. The Resource Advocate will assist clients in the navigation of Federal, State, and Local program and services, both within MACSC, and throughout the community at large.  The Resource Advocate will act as a liaison between the client and resources; facilitating the discussion of which resources may be of value in the assistance of setting goals, and achieving greater stability.  For example, assistance may be provided to the client by way of information and referrals to resources such as Department of Social Services, referrals to a women’s shelter, safety planning, legal advocacy and court accompaniment, food pantry, or countless other services available throughout MACSC and the community.  Assistance must be client-driven, and the efforts provided by the Resource Advocate must strive to meet the client’s presenting need(s).

Child Care Aides needed - for our SACC and WSLC Programs:
Must be 18 years and older and have some experience working with children. 
Part time hours - split shifts

Whistle Stop Learning Center Positions:
Lead Teacher in 3/4 year old room and toddler room. Aides in working with children from 18 months to 4 years old. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood / Child Development / or a related field, or Child Development Associate Credential
  • Previous childcare experience, minimum one year
  • Toddler applicants need an additional 1 year of specific training in toddler care
  • Flexible with hours (we are open from 6:45 am to 6 pm)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Passion for children, education and community

Hours- varies from week to week
