 Suggested Volunteer Opportunities at MACSC: - Food Pantry (Tuesdays 11-1, Thursdays 5:30-7:30) or on call or available to pick up donations / food orders at Regional Food Bank
- Organization of some office resource files / filing
- Teach a class (computers, workshop on whatever their expertise, arts and crafts etc) could be with our kids after school or evening for family dinner night or at babies and bonding or differently scheduled program….
- Homework help / mentors with our kids afterschool – help 3-5 graders with homework at your convenience – 4-5:00 Mon-Friday once a week or everyday…)
- Prepare and serve a meal at one of our family dinner nights (monthly – first Tuesday of the month – ideal for a small group)
- Chaperone a dance or kids night out (each event is once a month on a Friday evening)
- Join our Board of Directors and/or a committee such as expansion or fundraising etc (board meetings are first Tuesday of every month in the evening – done by 7:30! Committees include: finance, board development, building expansion, fundraising……
- Physical service projects: we can use anything from painting to cleaning, building of shelves to building a playground for our new preschool
Ongoing offsite opportunities: - Organize and collect for a food or personal care drive (different drive ideas may include collecting personal care items, birthday bags, gift cards, etc)
- Upcoming holidays: toy drives, adopt a family, Thanksgiving drives, School Supply Drive in July
- Help with collections of cell phones for domestic violence (planning of sites or just collection of phones from site boxes as already established or starting a drive at work…….)
- Donation of raffle items for community events

- Corporate Sponsor recruitment – help us set up a meeting with
potential corporate partners - VITA tax preparation: get trained as a tax preparer with volunteer
hours based on your availability, help as a greeter during tax preparation Specific Expertise opportunities: - Development of an agency wide database
- Help with fundraising/development plan
- Development of agency brochures, flyers etc
- Website development
