Mechanicville After School Clubs (MASC) offers free after school programs for middle school youth onsite at the Mechanicville Middle School. Clubs have included:
- Cooking Club, Pottery and Arts and Crafts Club, Drama and Theater Clubs, Twilight Book Club, Red Cross Certification in Babysitting, Order in the Court with Saratoga County Youth Court, RC Racing, airplane building, Lego robotics club, Hip Hop Dance
Workforce Readiness Trainings: Beginning November 2010, MACSC is proud to sponsor Workforce Readiness Trainings for youth ages 14 and up. Focus will be on development of soft skill job training such as how to dress, how to interview, filling out job applications and resumes, professionalism in the workplace and how to find a job. A community service component will offer those too young to work a chance to build some skills and experience for applications. Those who successfully complete the trainings and community service will be eligible to apply for Counselor in Training positions for the summer of 2011 and MACSCwill help seek out other paid internship and job opportunities.
