Elder Care Services

Based in the Mechanicville Senior Center, our Elder Care Services Program (ECSP) assures basic social and physical needs of area seniors are met. In its first year of operation alone, the Elder Care Services Program has established several well received programs.

 

Elder Care Services Program (ECSP) assures basic social and physical needs of area seniors are met.

 

Elder Care Services Program provides assistance in EDUCATIONAL, ENRICHMENT, HEALTH, & SOCIAL PROGRAMS to all 60+ years of age.

 

This program includes the following: 

• Information and Referral
• Weekly walking, yoga and exercise groups
• Buddy Chat reassurance telephone program
• Nutritional workshops and support groups including Diabetes Support, Mammogram Van visits, and presentations on healthy lifestyles.
• Collaboration for the arts with Mechanicville Library
• One-to-One counseling with our Elder Care Services Coordinator working in conjunction with other area agencies, family members to establish stronger support networks.
• Health and wellness presentations
• Support for senior care-givers

• Mobile Mammography Van Access
• Nutrition Classes
