Youth Development Programs
The Mechanicville Community Center offers a variety of weekend youth programming such as dances, Kids Night Out for elementary aged students, Bitty Ball, Basketball Game Day and other sports clinics.
Last year, a new collaboration with Mechanicville Middle School inspired MASC (Mechanicville After School Clubs). MASC offers a variety of free after school programming based out of the middle school including a magazine club, team challenge activities, arts, theater and a fitness club, all designed to decrease violence and promote self-esteem.
After School Clubs (MACSC)
A collaboration with Mechanicville Middle School and the NYS Department of Education offers a variety of free after-school programming (based out of the middle school) including:- Book clubs
- Team challenge activities
- Arts
- Fitness club
- Theater
Clubs run in 10-week sessions onsite at Mechanicville Middle School and topics change each session.
Registration is required; call for details.
After School Adventure Program (ASAP)
The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center offers after-school programming free of charge to all middle school youth onsite at the Center. Within activities, peer mentoring, planning and decision-making, and community service are emphasized. A Teen Program offers basketball, volleyball and other gym activities along with a lounge where kids can hang out with friends, watch TV and play games. The Center's computer room is available for use during this time with homework assistance.Youth Development (YD)

Kids Night Out:
features movies, recreation time in the gym, and crafts for elementary students.
Dances:
typically target our older youth; held monthly; emphasize a fun, safe, and supervised atmosphere with popular music played.
Open Gym:
Tuesday, 6-9 pm Middle School
Wednesday, 7-9 High School
Thursday, 6-9pm Middle School
Bitty Ball:
for Kindergarten and first Grade; runs January & February
