Farewell to Karin Drosdick

As many are aware, Karin has tendered her resignation and her last day with The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center was September 15th, 2022.  Karin has retired to enjoying time with her husband and family.

Over the last 6 years, Karin worked as the MACSC Living Well Director.  She came to us with a Bachelors of Sociology and Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University.  Her knowledge and passion for seniors was instrumental in her successfully running the Seniors Living Well Program.  This program has enhanced the quality of life for area seniors by promoting recreation, relaxation, socialization, lifelong learning and support services.  As our Senior Advocate, it was important to Karin to help seniors live as independently as possible, explore new learning opportunities and community involvement, and reinvent themselves.  She has done just that, going above and beyond to bring Educational Awareness, Healthy Cooking, Fun Activities and Crafts to the senior population.

Karin has done a phenomenal job with the senior population over the past few years, she worked tirelessly with the programming and activities, increasing participation and enthusiasm.  She has been an amazing resource and was well liked and respected by our seniors.

On behalf of the Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, board, staff and the Mechanicville Senior Center senior population, we would like to wish Living Director Karin Drosdick a warm and heartfelt farewell.

Its time to say FAREWELL! Thank You for being a great colleague, friend to staff and seniors, and phenomenal resource. Good Luck and best wishes on your future ventures and endeavors.
