MACSC Welcomes NEW Family Support + Resources Specialist – Courtney Morizio

The Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, Inc is happy to announce Courtney Morizio has accepted a new role within the center.  Starting as the Director of the Summer Adventure Program (SAP), Courtney will now be moving onto a new role that will support the facilitation of a MACSC new Outreach Program.  Courtney enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, and just hanging with close people in her life.  In this new position she is excited to discover the joy of the journey ahead.

Courtney is long time resident of the Mechanicville community. She is a single mom and understands the difficulties and joys that comes with raising a child. Her compassion and empathy for others is due to her own struggles. She has a strong Nursing background as well as extensive experience in Child Development.  She spent 8 years in Child Development; 4 years working as a teacher’s assistant in a Special Education classroom in the Guilderland School District, and 4 years in Hoosic Valley School District in a similar role.  Prior to her work with area youth, her Nursing background led her to work in a Long-Term Care Facility caring for those with long term needs reinforcing the power of compassion and empathy as a means to develop meaningful relationships.

Courtney is ecstatic to be in a new role where she can bring an endearing smile everyone will enjoy, and she looks forward to actively working with parents throughout Saratoga County to help them obtain healthy parent/child relationships with one another and create an environment for healthy Child Development.
