SUNY interns

🌟 Meet Our New Interns! 🌟

We’re so excited to welcome Kayleigh and Cira to the MACSC team this semester!

👋 Meet Kayleigh!
Kayleigh is in her first year of the Master of Social Work program at UAlbany. She earned her undergrad degree at URI, majoring in Interpersonal & Intercultural Communications. Kayleigh is eager to gain experience across different settings here at MACSC and hopes to work with adolescents in the future.

Fun fact: Kayleigh is a Capricorn who runs on Iced Caramel Lattes with Oat Milk ☕✨
Be sure to say hi if you see her around the center!

👋 Meet Cira!
Cira is pursuing a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Criminal Justice at UAlbany. She completed her undergrad in Psychology at SUNY Geneseo. At MACSC, she’s especially excited about resource mapping and supporting the Domestic Violence Advocacy Program (DVAP) - with a focus on legal advocacy.

Her long-term goal? Becoming a Behavioral Profiler 🕵️‍♀️
Give her a wave when you catch her on the go with a Schweppes Ginger Ale in hand!

We’re thrilled to have Kayleigh and Cira with us through the spring and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make. Welcome to the team!

September is Hunger Action Month!

MACSC is calling on our incredible community to come together and help fight hunger right here at home. Every week, we serve dozens and dozens of families through our Client Choice Pantry, providing dignity, choice, and essential food to those in need.

Nonperishable donations are always welcomed and make a real impact. Every item helps feed a neighbor in need.

🧡 Join us this month and take action against hunger.
It takes a community—and together, we can end hunger.

📍 Drop off donations at 6 S Main Street, Mechanicville Mon-Fri 8AM-4PM!

Resources Available?

We understand it might be difficult navigating all the different resources your community might have to offer.  It can also be difficult to navigate resources on the Federal, State and Local levels.
